POSITION DESCRIPTION
Purpose • To assist in the definition, implementation and support of required Production Directorate (PD) Operations IT (Information Technology) applications and IM (Information Management) processes for SEIC phase II
• To be custodian and first line support for the PI data historian (Real Time Optimisation supervisory control application) and PD Operations Portal applications.
• To act in the role of Business Project Leader on implementations of various Global Applications.
• Focal Point for Information and Data Management for the PD Asset Support section

Accountabilities • Translate business information requirements into specifications and applications (Business Analysis)

• Systems implementation and Business support

• Prepare the yearly update of Operations entry in the SEIC IM&T plan & identify budgets and required resources

• Co-ordinate activities (Business related) associated with the requirements, implementation, testing, support, maintenance and evaluation of information systems in cooperation with Technical Project Leaders and Information Planner in the IT department (e.g. Telecommunications, Infrastructure and Application Support).

• Maintain and update of all documentation, procedures and manuals related to the Operations IT applications, maintenance and quality control throughout the life cycle of applications.

• Participate in the development and implementation of required IT applications.

• Consolidate in-house knowledge on IT applications and identify training requirements for Operations, Maintenance staff and Super users regarding specialist training programmes as and when required.

• Ability to understand and communicate with senior IT focal points (for infrastructure, applications and application requirements)

• Define services requirements for IT related processes and put services in place in liaison with IT departments.

• Provide trouble-shooting and analysis services to front line Operations and Maintenance staff for PI datahistorian.

• Provide IT solutions required for the implementation of the Group Minimum Standards in Operations and Maintenance.

• Establish a cordial relationship with the customers in Operations and Maintenance to ensure performance of the various applications is openly discussed and reliable performance is maintained at all times.

Required experience:
Minimum of 7-year relevant working experience in IT, Operations and Engineering and /or Maintenance disciplines with clear evidence of hands on experience with IT applications (or a proven explicit interest in IT applications in the working environment)
