Dear TechNet User First of all we would like to thank you all for the support to Axapta through the continued high level of activity in the discussion forums on TechNet. Today we have more than 22,000 registered users collaborating on tough technical product related issues. This is a vibrant community and in Microsoft we are happy to see this many highly skilled professionals participating in the discussions and helping fellow users wherever possible. We also would like to take this opportunity to emphasize our continued support to the communities around Axapta. As you probably know we are well underway towards Axapta 4.0, which by no comparison will be the best and most exciting Axapta release ever with a balanced focus on fundamentals, business process execution and integrated innovation. Development teams in Vedbжk and Redmond are pushing hard to put together this new release with a lot of the stuff that you guys on TechNet have asked for - and through your discussions have pointed out as important. In the development teams we are also stepping up our participation in the Axapta communities, both on TechNet and the public MBS Axapta community, located at http://www.microsoft.com/BusinessSolutions/Community. Going forward we are committed to publishing news, tips, tricks and advice on the MBS community site, so please make sure to check it frequently. On the MBS community site you will also have a chance to meet Axapta Experts participate in webcasts, live chats and more. For partners more information can also be found on PartnerSource. We realize that you are all are very committed to TechNet. Going forward we want to make sure we in Microsoft Business Solutions live up to that commitment. We want to provide a broad public community, which appeals to as many people as possible. Since the launch of TechNet it has been a valuable site for us and been a proof-point to the Axapta web technology. In the future we want to expand community participation and we want to expand the offerings on webcasts, live chat etc. As a product development team we need to be in touch with our users and customers and the best way for us is to leverage all the work done in Microsoft in general around communities. This is why you will see us gradually move content from the existing TechNet into the general public Microsoft Business Solutions community site. Rest assured though that we will not move features, content and discussions unless it can be supported as good as or better in the public business solutions newsgroups. Please continue to participate in the Axapta discussion forums and continue to make TechNet the vibrant community it is today. If you want to provide your viewpoint on this, a new discussion thread will be posted by me, where you are encouraged to comment on this, specifically I would like you feedback on what you think is cool about TechNet which you would like to see continued on the MBS communities. Regards, Flemming Louw-Reimer Director, Program Management Источник... http://technet.navision.com/default.asp?Me...tput&NEWSID=596 |

Flemming ================ Well, I can try Pls. also see the other replies. Even though I agree - TechNet is -and has been - a great place for us all to get deep technical insight - we have to recognize there are other ways to present the same information and get the equivalent set of features plus a lot more (like LIve Chats, Webcasts etc.) Technet has been run by a number of people ion the dev. team - basically in their spare time. This model will unfortunately not work going forward. There is way too many considerations to make around infrastructure, platform, security and further development of sites like this -which makes it necessary to "standardize". TechNet was originally meant as a design proof point for the web ramework technology in Axapta. Well, we certainly believe we have proofed our point by now. Basically the decisions are taken based on the fact that we much rather want to spend our time doing great new work on the web framework inside Axapta (such as making it work with Sharepoint) than to spend our time upgrading TechNet. This is what it can be boiled down to and I truly believe that would be the best for all of us. В общем-то, правильно. Старый движок уже давно себя изжил. Удобным его точно нельзя было назвать.
