The role of the Senior AX Software Test Engineer includes testing and implementation consultancy of Microsoft Dynamics AX, gathering business requirements from the customer, preparation of the project documentation and quality assurance. Role Description:

The Senior Software Test Engineer (SSTE) is responsible for testing of applications, software modules and solutions. In addition, the SSTE represents Celenia in a professional manner and has the good communication skills, very deep knowledge and multiple Dynamics AX functional areas, is responsible for managing tasks assigned on him, requirements analysis, application design, quality assurance and preparation of the project documentation.

We are interested in individuals who have:

• A good command of English (intermediate level is a must)
• Perform planning of test activities for the assigned area of the project(s), develop test plan, test scenarios and test cases
• Participate in the process to determine the overall conceptual design and perform business process modeling in AX system
• Work with developers during initial stages of the project to ensure common vision of the features being developed
• Investigate tasks and provide estimates on hours, schedules and deadlines
• Write and update design documentation
• Ensure effective quality control during development, build processes and deployments
• Work with developers during execution stages of the project to resolve quickly and effectively the issues found
• Ensure strict correspondence between solutions developed in the team and customer’s requirements
• Perform functional analysis and troubleshooting
• Write ‘walkthrough’ documentation, as a part of delivery processes
• Participate in project meetings and report progress to Project Manager
• Ability to travel periodically to USA/Canada

Required knowledge and skills:

5+ years of experience either in Microsoft Dynamics AX, or another ERP system (understanding architecture, knowledge of functional areas)
3+ year of experience as an AX consultant/QA/tester/analyst
Ability to run the testing processes starting from planning to test case execution and bug-fixing support
Knowledge of bug-tracking tools (TFS, or Jira, or similar)
Business Process modeling tools (Visio, flowcharts)
Understanding of basic ERP processes
Analytical mindset
Excellent investigation skills
Intermediate or Advanced English, ability to work in English-oriented environment (email and technical documentation)
Ability to work in multiple projects in parallel, according to priorities set
Ability to work in a team, good coordination skills
Willingness to learn a new system, functional modules, functional areas and continuously improve the skillset
Flexible, responsible and proactive person
Knowledge of .Net, SQL (administration and programming) is a plus
MS Dynamics AX certification is a plus
